Application FAQ's

We've pulled some of our most frequently asked questions together but don't forget, you can contact us at any time to talk through your application.

It’s best if you have the following to hand when you start your application

  • The registration details of your organisation, either with Companies House or the Charity Commission
  • Names and details of key contacts within your organisation
  • Full details on how and where the money will be spent.

Yes – the form can be saved so, if you don’t have time to complete the form in full or need to get supporting information in order to complete it, you can save it and come back to it later. We have made the form as easy as possible to complete so it should take longer than 20 minutes if you have the supporting information to hand.

Once submitted, your application will be assessed by our Community Investment team. We will get in touch to confirm we have received your application and may ask for further details to help assess the application.

We will assess applications against a framework designed based upon the following:

  • The project meets local need
  • The project has a positive impact on the lives of Karbon residents
  • Residents were involved in developing the project
  • Targets are realistic and achievable
  • The project costs are reasonable
  • The project represents value for money
  • The organisation is an appropriate delivery partner

The project will provide long-lasting sustainable outcomes once the project funding ends.

You will be informed within 4 weeks as to whether your funding application is successful. If funding is granted, a member of the Community investment team will get in contact to agree on funding and monitoring arrangements.

At this point, we will ask for further details including a copy of your written constitution and confirmation of banking details.
